For sale is a very special and rare 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1. This Mustang was built on July 25, 1969, in San Jose, California, and was factory equipped as the highly desirable Q-Code with the powerful 428 Cobra Jet V8.
The 428 Cobra Jet was officially rated by Ford at 335 hp. In reality, the actual power output was considerably higher. Ford rated these engines rather conservatively at the time, and the 428 Cobra Jet became known as one of the most powerful engines available in the 1969 Mustang.
What makes this Mach 1 even more special is the combination of the Q-Code 428 Cobra Jet with the heavy-duty C6 automatic transmission. Only 1,280 examples were produced with this combination, making it a quite rare specification.
From the factory, this Mach 1 was finished in the beautiful Lime Gold color, combined with the characteristic black hood with Black-Out Hood Treatment. The car was repainted approximately three years ago and the paintwork is still in very beautiful condition.
